Double fertilization is CORE
In flowering plants, one sperm fuses with the egg (syngamy → 2n zygote) while the second fuses with the two polar nuclei (triple fusion → 3n endosperm). This double fertilization separates Class 12 reproduction from earlier plant physiology in nearly every exam.
Genetics is the NEET pivot
Inheritance and molecular biology together form the single largest NEET question block in Class 12. The dihybrid 9:3:3:1 ratio, the genetic code and DNA replication facts are the most-tested items.
